Training Terms and Conditions

Cancellation

The following fees will apply when the customer withdraws/cancels a confirmed training booking:

  • Where Goleman Training Ltd has confirmed receipt of cancellation notification at least 10 working days prior to the scheduled training, there is no cancellation or rescheduling fee,
  • Where Goleman Training Ltd has confirmed receipt of cancellation notification within 3-9 working days prior to the scheduled training, there is a 50% cancellation or reschedule fee
  • Where Goleman Training Ltd has confirmed receipt of cancellation notification less than 3 working days prior to scheduled training, there is a 100% cancellation or reschedule fee.

Attendance

Failure to attend a booked training will result in a ‘No Show’ attendance status. All ‘No Shows’ will be charged the full course cost.

Late arrivals, at the trainer’s discretion, may remain on the course within 60 minutes of the scheduled start time. The attendee (Customer) may not enter the training after 60 minutes of the scheduled start time and full course costs will be charged. The Company may, at its sole discretion, reschedule the student at a later training date and transfer payment, and any additional costs incurred, to that date. Learners will be informed of this condition prior to commencement of training.

If the attendee (Customer) is unable to attend due to illness or other personal reasons (i.e. bereavement), they must inform the Company at the earliest opportunity and charges incurred or rescheduled training will be at the sole discretion of the Company.

Scheduling

Goleman Training Ltd will not be liable for any costs incurred by the customer due to cancellation from situation out of our control, including but not limited to Trainer illness. Goleman Training Ltd, at their sole discretion, may decide to transfer any/partial credit to a rescheduled date.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or suspend training where to continue would breach the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (“HSWA”), or where continuing might place students at an unacceptable level of risk.

Criteria

Attendees must have a reasonable level of written and oral English equivalent to NCEA level 1. It is the responsibility of the attendee or person authorised and responsible for making the booking to disclose any English language support needs. Contact Goleman Training for more information.

This course has learning activities and practical assessments that require a degree of physical fitness and appropriate PPE (refer to course information). Attendees must advise Goleman Training Ltd prior to the course of any medical or physical disabilities or conditions.

Where either of the criteria above is not met, Goleman Training Ltd reserve the right to refuse or postpone attendance, until such time as the criteria is met. Where the attendee is rescheduled, Goleman Training Ltd, at its sole discretion, may transfer payment, and any additional costs incurred, to that date.

Conduct

The Company reserves the right to refuse to train any person who breaches any behaviour expectations, instruction, policies and procedures – including the use of PPE in adherence with HSWA 2015; any misconduct or breaks the law; and is deemed by the Company as unfit due to health reasons including but not limited to intoxication or behavioural issues.
