Exterior & Internal Cleaning – Forsyth Barr

Client/Scope of Work:

Dunedin Venues. External and Internal cleaning.

Specific issues to be addressed:

We addressed the challenge of removing both bird droppings and cement dust, which had accumulated on various surfaces.

Special considerations:

Internal cleaning of the white steel structure inside the arena was conducted while working on a 42-meter boom, that can only be driven on wooden panels. For the exterior cladding, we utilised Goleman’s own 27-meter boom truck for a thorough clean.

What was done and why?

This project involved a comprehensive exterior building wash, which included detailed cleaning of windows and clearlight surfaces. Additionally, we conducted thorough gutter cleaning to ensure proper drainage and prevent potential damage. Inside, we thoroughly cleaned the white steel structure using a hose and brush. The vertical polycarbonate surfaces received a specialised wash to maintain their transparency and durability, then completed an interior cladding wash.

Special equipment used?

For this project, we utilised the client’s 42-meter access machine, the largest of its kind in the South Island. This powerful equipment is essential for reaching high and difficult areas, but due to its size and weight, it requires careful operation. To protect the stadium pitch, wooden panels were strategically laid down to create a stable surface for the machine to operate on.

Client Feedback

Nicole from ‘Venues’ expressed her satisfaction with the quality of the work and was pleasantly surprised that Goleman completed the project a few days ahead of schedule.
