Comprehensive induction process
Before new team members start work with Goleman, they must complete a full company specific induction, including our training and skills assessment programme.
Internal and external training and qualifications
All technicians are required to hold both internal and external qualifications, including:
All technicians hold NZQA working at height and fall arrest unit standards 15757, 23229, and 17600 in line with the Building Act 2004, and with AS/NZS 1891.4 & 4488 and Best Practice Guide (BGP) Industrial Rope Access in New Zealand.
NZQA unit standards in various other areas including, MWEP, confined space, permit receiver and first aid.
A minimum of rope access level three or IRATA level one rope access qualifications with an internal certificate of competency.
Regular industry training with Sika, Resene, Equus and the like for routine façade maintenance including concrete repair, sealant application, painting and glazing repairs / replacement work.
Experience with all types of façade systems (our teams also regularly carry out warranty cleans on newly installed facade systems).
Self-auditing & supervision
Goleman technicians continually self-audit and supervise their work colleagues, checking each other’s equipment and safety setup throughout every project
Zero tolerance policy
Goleman takes a zero tolerance to any breach of health and safety. Any technician who does so faces disciplinary action.
Regular drug and alcohol testing
Drug and alcohol testing of the Goleman team, from technicians to management, is carried out regularly.
